JONES INSTALLED AS SEPT. 2 PERRIS WINNER FOLLOWING RE-POSITIONING OF SPENCER

Sept. 8, 2006....The team of driver Tony Jones and car entrant Mark Alexander have been installed as winners of the Sept, 2 USAC/CRA Sprint Car race at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway following today’s decision to re-position driver Mike Spencer and car entrant Hal Engstrom in ninth place.

The repositioning penalty was imposed as a result of an unauthorized tire change during a red flag period in the feature event.

The USAC/CRA Sprint Car series continues tomorrow night at the Ventura (Calif.) Raceway. The revised results and updated top-ten in the driver standings are as follows:
